The $RUNI airdrop will deliver T1 Ape holders 15% of the circulating, available supply at TGE. That’s a lot; it’s a major stake in the entire RunesTerminal ecosystem. It’s a price-determining slice of the current available $RUNI, and it’s in your hands. We trust you!
It’s equal to 1% of the total long-term supply of all $RUNI, including tokens locked behind years-long vesting cliffs and set aside for ecosystem development, marketing, liquidity provisioning, the accelerator program, and the other RunesTerminal activities that will deliver Ape holders growth. Another 2% will be distributed to the Ape Holders over time.
Unlike most of the total supply, airdropped $RUNI isn’t locked, it’s free to trade. The majority of the supply is already committed behind cliffs of long-term project growth. The airdrop isn’t.
It’s a giveaway to holders to seed support for building the future of Bitcoin on Runes. For the first three months, the airdrop will remain equivalent to 15% of the circulating supply. See the graphs below for details. It can be exchanged at any time by Ape holders: 2x, 5x, 20x, 100x or never.
It’s up to you; they’re your tokens. We know meme Ordinals drop more of their total supply, and that their tokens pump and dump fast, and that the instant hype before blowup of these tokens is exciting.
But we are not a meme.
We’re a long-term infrastructure project for Runes.
We do airdrops and giveaways and memes with our community, but we’re building serious utility. Go to RunesEtcher and chisel some Runes. The $RUNI that T1 apes receive can be used for access to vetted projects on RunesPad. All that utility is here, ready, and $RUNI holders will own a piece of it.
We should, however, have been clearer. It’s only the start of value-added benefits to T1 Ape holders. The $RUNI airdrop was just the beginning.
Here are more benefits announced for T1 holders:
- 4 more upcoming airdrops with a total of another 2% of the total supply (what will be a higher percentage number again in circulating supply at the time of dropping!) will be distributed to Ape Holders: 1% out of the Advisory token allocation and 1% out of the Team token allocation. These airdrops are for the long term Ape holders.
- Guaranteed WL to our 10k Terminal 2 collection.
- $SWAPE airdrop from ApeSwap for T2 Ape holders (what each T1 Ape holder can become), the first DEX on Runes via the RunesTerminal Accelerator Program (RAP).

As the genesis collection of RunesTerminal, the T1 apes will always have value. For future airdrops that are announced, T1 apes will have relevance, and every project that launches on RunesPad will have first-look allocation by Ape holders with future airdrops likely as launches take place.
